If Civil Union is JUST AS GOOD as Marriage, why don't the Straights take Civ. Unions and leave gays Marriage?

Well Newell, once again your asking for something that is from the religious right of marriage in the eyes of God.I dont get it though.Most of us(conservatives) have no qualms with you having the same thing as married heterosexual couples(including adoption) yet you really need to attack God.This I just dont understand.
