Opinions on cats being let outside?

Please don't kill me for this, but I think you should keep you're cat inside. if their just free outside, they could get hit by a car, get ticks, get ring warm, get rabies, never come back, and get some kinda unknown disease. but you should let them run around the house and go where ever they want
